This frame
was designed with a non-oversized tig-welded full chromoly (including
the rear triangle) tubeset, and comes with a chromoly fork with
the same colour as the frame. The top tube is only slightly sloping
and the frame is compact, giving it a level of rigidity that will
satisfy you unless your needs are extreme. Although modern in
style, it has a discreet look, either in dark blue, or in black.
Even if it’s not a racing frame, its performance could surprise
you, especially with 700x28 or 32 tires. With a flat bar and bar-ends
it will make an acceptable touring bike that is at ease both on
asphalt and gravel roads. But its ideal use is as a commuter,
city bike, or light recreational bike. Can also be used with riser
handlebar but is not really compatible with drop bars given its
top pull front derailleur set-up that implies complications when
using road-specific components.
This one has a nice steel feel that will be enjoyed
over the years. I use this as a commuter bike, with a BOB Yak
trailer attached almost permanently to carry parts between my
two stores and the huge amount of food I need to eat every day.
